LavaCast’s advanced manufacturing facilities are designed to deliver top-quality castings through a seamless and efficient production process. Our operations are supported by cutting-edge technology and skilled professionals, ensuring excellence at every stage.

MOULDING LINE

Our moulding line features the advanced Disamatic Model 131Z, a highly efficient and vertically parted moulding line capable of producing up to 400 moulds per hour.

This high-speed production capability ensures rapid turnaround times and increased productivity. The mould sizes produced range from 750 x 570 x 140 mm to 750 x 570 x 400 mm, offering flexibility to accommodate various casting requirements.

High Precision Moulding:

Ensures consistent and accurate mould dimensions, reducing defects and improving overall product quality.

Automated Operation:

Minimizes manual intervention, enhancing production efficiency and reducing labor costs.

Advanced Control Systems:

Utilizes sophisticated software for precise moulding operations, real-time monitoring, and adjustments to maintain optimal performance.

Enhanced Cooling System:

The system includes a 45-minute cast cooling facility, achieved through a 68-metre long synchronized conveyor belt. This extended cooling period allows the castings to cool evenly, reducing the risk of thermal stress and deformation

SAND PLANT

The sand plant is equipped with a 300 T capacity sand hopper and a Sand Multi Controller (SMC) to manage sand quality. It features a magnetic separator for removing metallic impurities and a sand and casting cooling drum that cools sand to below 50°C. Additionally, the plant has a dust extraction system and uses a SAM 10 Mixture with a mixing capacity of 80 T/Hr, lined with ceramic for durability.

The plant also incorporates a High Speed Intensive Green Sand Mixer (Model SAM 10) with Bond Injection System and an Online Sand Multi Controller for precise sand composition management.

MELTING AND AUTO POUR

In the first phase, we have incorporated a Tri-track Furnace from Inductotherm, featuring an Inductotherm Auto Pour with Visipour control system.

This setup includes Tri Track induction furnaces with inbuilt fume extraction systems and Stopper rod control bottom pouring Visipour with mould stream inoculation facility, ensuring high-quality metal pouring and minimal impurities.

SHOT BLASTING AND FETTLING

Our shot blasting and fettling section features a state-of-the-art online shot blasting facility designed to efficiently handle castings and runner risers. This advanced system uses high-velocity abrasive materials to remove surface contaminants, scale, and rust from castings, ensuring a clean and smooth finish.

Automated Conveyor System:

Ensures consistent feed and processing of components.

High-Efficiency Blasting Chambers:

Equipped with multiple blasting nozzles to cover all surface areas of the castings.

Dust Collection System:

Captures and filters out dust and debris, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Integrated Fettling Stations:

Perform additional cleaning and finishing operations such as grinding, polishing, and trimming of excess material from the casting

MACHINE SHOP
